This new poster for a Girls' Generation event focuses on the eight remaining members now that Jessica Jung has departed. Jung was kicked out of the group after SM Entertainment accused her of putting too much emphasis on her BLANC Fashion Line. The exit of Tyler Kwon's girlfriend has divided SNSD fans.
Girls’ Generation is officially moving on without Jessica Jung. SM Entertainment released a poster for an upcoming SNSD fan event, and the former member was conspicuously absent.
The poster, which features the eight remaining members of Girls’ Generation, advertises a Beijing fan party taking place later this month. Tickets for the SNSD event went on sale Thursday.RELATED: Girls' Generation Supports Sooyoung Before My Spring Days Finale
This event is confirmation that Jessica Jung is no longer part of Girls’ Generation. Jung first broke news of her exit in September, when she wrote on Weibo that she would not be joining the rest of SNSD for a meet-and-greet.
“I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today I am no longer a member,” Jessica wrote about her Girls’ Generation exit. “I'm devastated-my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out.”RELATED: Why Luhan Is Leaving EXO
Rumors then spread that SM Entertainment, the agency behind Girls’ Generation, was concerned that Jessica Jung was focusing too much on outside endeavors, like her new BLANC fashion line. But Jung insisted that both SM and her fellow SNSD members were initially fine with her decision to start the fashion line, only to abruptly change their minds.
“However, in early September, after only a month since the launching, the members suddenly changed their position and held a meeting, and told me to either quit my business or leave Girls' Generation without any justifiable reason,” Jessica Jung said. “I explained that I had already received permission from the agency, that I had never neglected Girls' Generation's activities, and that I could not suddenly halt my business due to my contract with my business partner after a month.

With this controversy surrounding Jessica Jung’s exit, no surprise that reaction to the new Girls’ Generation poster has been mixed. Some fans promised to support the remaining eight members of SNSD, while others noted that the poster did not look right without Jung.
Jessica Jung, for her part, is also doing just fine without Girls’ Generation. She has been working on her fashion line and was recently seen filming an ad with her sister, Krystal, for the fashion website Lapalette.
